Mac has issues. That's not a secret.
. We have eliminated all the resource guarding and most of the "stranger danger" stuff over the past year. There is one last little issue that I don't really know what to do with, or where even to start?
She had serious orthopedic issues as a puppy, and had FHO surgery to remove the head of her femur. Months of physical therapy, lots of poking and prodding, all of it was traumatic to say the least. She doesn't NOT like to be touched if something hurts. She can be petted and coddled, but if she has an injury she does not want that part of her touched.
Any suggestions on working past this? For example, in a minor first aid situation, how would you handle this?
