After reviewing Monster’s photo, our Editorial Committee chose YOUR PET to be featured in the 2010 Edition of The Most Adorable Pets In America!

This beautiful photo collection will recognize one of the cutest pets in America - Monster! This beautiful heirloom-quality book will make a lovely addition to any home and a perfect gift. You will know that Monster's photo was selected out of hundreds of thousands to be published in this beautiful
national collection.
I don't know how legitimate this is, but it would be pretty darned cool if she's actually in it! This is the photo they selected, but it was in better quality (as this is an FB upload, FB ruins quality)

Could just be a scam to get me to order the book though... LOL. If so, boo on them, if not, hey, baby Monster's in a book!

I hope so too... is it just me that can't see the pic?

It was a Facebook link, if you have Facebook blocked or if you're at work and they have Facebook blocked it may not work? No idea, otherwise!

Aw.. looks like a scam! :( Google

Ah well. Glad I didn't order the book, though.

So just for future reference - anyone who signs up for the Greater American Photo Contests should be aware that it is most likely a scam. Most of the complaints appear to be about the child section of their photo contests, but regardless, they're all connected - so I'm going to assume that the pet contest is one in the same and won't be ordering the book!

I believe this sounds like the Poetry scams they run for high-school students. I "won" a poetry contest in high school that landed my poem on the first page of that year's book of poetry winners thing.

My mom got all excited and ordered a copy before I knew what had happened lol

Nice heirloom lol :p

But a very cute picture of Monster!!! :) (ps if it is real, congrats! lol )

So I have to ask though, did you ever actually receive the book, or did they not send it at all? I was reading the fine print on the page (which is what REALLY urged me to Google it, though I would have done it anyway before ordering), and it says this:

This book has not yet been published so please allow several months for printing. Ordering a copy now will ensure that your pet's photo will be included in the current edition. Photos of pets whose guardians do not order books for the current printing run may be included in a future edition at the editor's discretion.
So basically.. no guarantee that it will be published at all, if you choose not to pay for it. LOL.

It does sound like a scam. I've heard of similar non-dog versions of this.

Stupid scam notwithstanding, Monster gets my vote for Cutest Pup on the Planet.

(ouch! why did you just hit me with your paw, Finn? ohhhh ... okay ... Monster is the Second Cutest Pup on the Planet ...;-)
D'awww, if she weren't upside down, passed out in the living room right now I'm sure she'd be blushing. ;)

Yup! It did take awhile for the book to come through. My poem and my little bio-blurb dedicating said poem to my now hubby are right there, smack dab on the front pages....

My mom had it on her coffee table at one point, but I took it last time I was there XD

Aw, that's cute! So I guess it isn't a TOTAL scam. If you buy the book you get put in it, but if you don't there's no guarantee - but I guess it wouldn't really matter anyway because you'll probably never see the book if you don't buy it.. haha.

On the Pet photo contest, you can pay an additional $10 to have a "blurb" about the photo added, otherwise it's just the photo. I cannot fathom paying $80 for a book.
