Hi everyone! So my 11 month old Skyy just went into heat for the first time a couple days ago. Freaked me out something good too. I was prepared for it but not ready for it lol. I've noticed a change in her behavior and body because of her "coming of age". Mood swings, not as eager to obey commands, swelling in certain spots, etc. But I have noticed that she's gotten an inverted nipple, which seems very weird to me.

I've tried to Google and YouTube it but haven't really found too much about it. She doesn't try to paw at it or lick it. Seems as if it doesn't bother her one bit, it just bothers me. I've never had a female dog before so it kinda worries me. I've tried to "pop" it back out but to no avail. Even when I tried to squeeze it back out there was no reaction from her (except for the worried face she gave as if she knew I was experimenting on her body). I did notice however that the nipple seemed to be swollen.

Is this normal for a female dog in heat? (Her first cycle, more specifically) Or am I overreacting? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
