Yogi's 1st Christmas

Ha ha ha, we had so much fun trying......."TRYING" to take these pictures. The dogs were running and jumping and wouldn't come to us and sit still. Plus, we had to 'auto-shoot' the camera and this was all very hard. We took about 50 pictures just to get the four you'll see here :) Fun as heck though :)

Yes picture taking is sooooo much fun when there puppies. Nice pictures, I think the last one is a beautiful picture Yogi. Of course I know your not in it and all...hehe!! It's a picture worth framing!
The Bostons are so funny in the other pictures. It's like there saying "o.k. hurry up with this crap, we have had enough already"
Awwhhh! You guys look great together!! I love your little bostons! Of course Mr. Yogi bear looks adorable too!

Thanks for posting!
Hey Tom ,you need to work hard on sit stays for next years pics :) Now they are Christmassy pics for the project, nice job even if it did take fifty shots.
Hey does Yogi have a thinning spot I see on his chest? Or maybe it is just the lighting?
Four "keepers" out of 50 beats my average!
What a cute family! You need another dobe, don't you? That way you could have two of each to even it out some. Then later down the road, maybe twins? LOL! Just kidding! I do love the pics! The Boston's are cute to.

Thanks everyone. The picture taking session was quiet an experience.

Lexus, Yogi does have a tiny patch of thinning hair on his chest. We've kept an eye on it but it doesn't seem to change much. Is this sign of anything serious? I really didn't think much of it since its basically stayed the same.

He does have a thin white stripe starting on his neck down to his chest, about 2-3 inches in length. I haven't noticed any other dobes on here with this. Is this normal for the doberman breed, or can this be an indicatoin that he may be a mut? lol. :)
Before we get all worried here. May I ask specifically is it a white stripe of hair that has always been there. Or is it thinning hair with whitish skin showing through.

I remember reading on the AKC website that some white spot on Dobes are allowable...................
"Color and Markings
Allowed Colors: Black, red, blue, and fawn (Isabella). Markings: Rust, sharply defined, appearing above each eye and on muzzle, throat and forechest, on all legs and feet, and below tail. White patch on chest, not exceeding ½ square inch, permissible. Disqualifying Fault: Dogs not of an allowed color. "
The hair could be an allergy, are you still feeding him the Nutro or have you changed him yet?
I like the pics too, the Bostons want "out of there" so badly. Yogi's long legs really show up in the last one. Great pics!!!!
He's not a mutt, don't worry about the white, it happens. May go away by the time he is grown or he may retain some of it. Not that unusual for dobe pups to have it. I had two pups born with white chests and nearly had a heart attack, but one was totally gone by the time she was grown and the other just had a few white hairs. Even if it doesn't go away, it's not like you want to show him or anything.
Actually he is what I want, a long eared, long tailed dobe. Maybe that is why I seem to have adopted you two!!
Thanks Linda :)

The white is hair, not skin. It's a white stripe of hair that has always been there. Also Linda, I haven't switched him yet from the Nutro.

We went to PetSmart today and I weighed him.

He weighed in at 40.3 pounds. That's a 1 week growth spurt of 3.3 pounds!!!! I'm happy. I don't fear anymore that he will be small. He's going to be full sized. Now, he's growing by leaps and bounds.

I will switch him to Innova Linda. I feed my darn ferrets Innova, Yogi will get it to. I've just been so busy with all his other training that the food will come when it's time.

We had a very very busy day today. At PetSmart, we got his picture taken with Santa. Man oh man was that work. Just look at how funny this was. Then, I got him chipped by Avid and then took him to 3 dogs bakery for some treats. You'll also see some pictures of them naping out in the back of my truck :) They are tired........and wew!! So am I. Everyone is napping now :) ahhhh...peace and quiet :)
