Oh I’m so sorry Frank. I was hoping you would have better news. Hopefully they can come up with a good treatment plan to keep Mocha comfortable.
That's our motto, Sunje. I'm just feeling a bit bummed out right now, even though I had a pretty good idea that's what it was going in.Don't give up! Our Hanno was diagnosed w/ Wobblers at 8.5, and he had another 4 good years, managed with steroids and then carprofen. He ran and played almost to the end. And 12.5 is pretty good for a dober boy.
I understand. I had the same feelings when Hanno was diagnosed, and was afraid I'd have to put him down right away. But he responded well to the meds and held steady for a long time. We did use only a harness and almost never a collar with him. That's our motto, Sunje. I'm just feeling a bit bummed out right now, even though I had a pretty good idea that's what it was going in.
Yeah hopefully we caught it early and it can be managed with steroids, anti-inflammatory and pain meds. Right now I'm second-guessing myself - what did I miss, and how? These dogs are so damned stoic, I'm sure you remember how good she was walking just a month or so ago and everything seemed fine.I understand. Thanks, Diane. You know what a worrywart I am when it comes to MochaHold on TN.
Even if you missed something….it would not matter now.
So do not torture your brain with that wild traffic That will make things worse.
Trust me on this one.
One day at a time ….do not look to far down the road because thats way to overwhelming.
You’re a great Dober dad ….we all know it and so do you.
We all love you so much TN.
It was the same for Hanno. Didn't see anything wrong, and then suddenly I got a call at work from my husband saying "Hanno is acting like he's in pain. He doesn't want to move and is just standing with his head down." I got off early and took him to the vet that evening, and they diagnosed it then. No symptoms until all of a sudden there were symptoms. Don't beat yourself up. You'll get through this.Yeah hopefully we caught it early and it can be managed with steroids, anti-inflammatory and pain meds. Right now I'm second-guessing myself - what did I miss, and how?
