I am giving 4 cups in total of food per days to my dog (acana) i would like to know when can i start giving her food only 2 time a days and not 3. She is 6month and 44lb.

I THINK most people switch over around 6 months, when teething ends. In my experience it's always been done at 6 months.

I'd switch now. I usually switch at 4 months myself.

we began feeding both our dogs only 2 times a day as soon as we got them, about 9 weeks old. The only time we fed 3 times a day was when Nexus came home from spending 5 days in the hospital last Jan after her obstruction and rupture and she had to be on prescription diet for a period of time until she healed. Other than that its always been twice daily so I would guess you can switch them anytime you want to

I'm thinking Nubis will possibly be on 2 meals by 12 weeks. Right now at 9 weeks he is not as hungry at lunch time as before. Definitely no later than 4 Months. The little bigger is learning to small yelp and head point at his empty dish location when it hits around his schedule meal time lol

Me too. Most of my puppies aren't eating three meals well by four months--they eat two meals with gusto--same amount of food--longer time between meals--better appetite.
