same as when looking to rescue, when you are looking to volunteer find the rescues in your area - the best place to start is the DPCA website to find a rescue nearest you.Becca said:I live in the Seattle area and I am very interested in getting involved with a rescue organization. There are so many things that people can do, but you usually need to start small until the people get to know you. I started by transporting dogs from the vet where they were just spay/neutered to the kennel we board a few dogs. I just happened to be geograpically located in a good spot for it. There is always a need for good foster homes.........but not everyone can do it.
Some rescues have an annual picnic and you could offer to help out there too.
