Thanks to all who responded to my post about my little girl's leg; I am actually a certified vet tech (unemployed unfortunately) and am familiar with most of the issues that she is symptomatic of - the problem is that her scenario doesn't fit most of those possibilities, I was hoping that someone may have had an idea that I haven't thought of yet. My family has lost everything in this recession and all of the local animal charities are overwhelmed and are not able to assist with money for x-ray's. I have lost a boy to sudden onset of osteosarcoma after he broke his leg while playing with his sis. We fought tooth and nail for him, multiple surgeries & treatments, to no avail. The treatments were very, very hard on him.

My dogs are my children and I will do everything possible for them but without the almighty dollars in hand I can't even get the vet that she's been with her entire life to spend 60 seconds with her!

I'm sorry for your situation. Having been laid off in recent years, it's such a tough job market out there. However, if the dog is in pain, she really needs to be seen even if just for pain meds.

I also don't believe vets are obligated to see patients for free. They too must make a living.

At this point, her wellbeing needs to be priority. I'm not sure if any rescues can assist or even take her in as one of their own, but again, it sounds like she needs some immediate pain relief if nothing else.
