Jewell whelped 9 beautiful black/rust puppies on September 16th. 5 girls and 4 boys. All are happy, healthy and growing so fast! All over 3 lbs. here, at 10 days old with eyes open. A very consistent litter in size. Of course, they mostly still sleep but they are precious and it is fun to tickle their bellies and watch their little legs scratch or see them begin to bite one another.
Jewell is a fantastic mother! Here they are....

What precious babies! Jewel looks right at home with the kiddos, too! Glad to see everyone is happy and healthy. I look forward to more photos as they grow into little hellions.

I think Cowboy is the daddy?

Look at them all! Roly-poly puppy loves. Do they smell like brownies? Elka always has, for some reason, but especially as a puppy, when sleeping. Congratulations!

In that last picture, Jewell looks as though she thinks there's something in the kitchen she's missing out on. I could be wrong. But that's what it means when Elka has that look.

In that last photo, Fidelis was peeking in thinking he would follow me, but Jewell had other ideas.
