Good morning everybody and a VERY special good morning to our Mod - Mel !

I just read about the confession deal and have had a short time to think about it and at this time - I just can't think of anything I need to confess too , Be'n' a Libra - you know :grin2:

I will say that Mel does a outstanding job of herding the cats on the CT :wink2::grin2: And will admit this CT is pretty fun to read , I compare it to going to the coffee shop , Here in Morristown , we have a restaurant called the Blue Bird and they have a large round table were the kings of BS sit and fix the worlds problems , and another long set of tables all in a line for the reserve BSers ! LOL the CT reminds of the Blue Bird - Just never know what you will hear of the topic will be , Of course , Farming most times leads the discussion :grin2:

Everybody have a great Sunday

See, that's the problem with indecorous speech—eventually it becomes so much a habit that you use it where it is proscribed.

Mel, as a Vocabularian, you are just trying to convey your warning messages precisely.
However, most of us CT members would get the meaning faster if you simplified somewhat.
(so we don't have to look up the words)

in·dec·o·rous
/ˌinˈdekərəs/
adjective: indecorous
not in keeping with good taste and propriety; improper.

pro·scribe
/prōˈskrīb/
verb
past tense: proscribed; past participle: proscribed
forbid, especially by law.
"strikes remained proscribed in the armed forces"

Vocabularian
One who cultivates a large vocabulary.

---------------------------------------------

Vocabularian Ditty :wink2:
(tune of "Lets Call the Whole Thing Off")

I say odious, you say indecorous,
I like forbidden, you like verboten,
Just don't proscribe forboden
Let's call the whole thing off.

You like irrelevant, I like big-woop,
You say Vichyssoise, I say cold soup.
You like alternative, I say New-Agey,
Let's call the whole thing off.

But oh, if you truly eschew prolixity, by becoming sesquipedalian?
And oh, just please explain those words to us sexagenarians!

Ella & Louis- "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K75g7eRhH9M

sesquipedalian

Noun
A long word.
A person who uses long words.
Adjective
(of a word or words) long; polysyllabic.

Cuz!

When you and Scott take your retirement tour in the RV are you going to be towing a vehicle to jaunt around in between stops?

I've really got to plan the RV/canopy pad. I think I want an outdoor fireplace, too! My aunt has a really cool "shelter" like that. I guess you could call it a pavillon?

Mister and I are still at a stalemate on where a shop or barn is going to go.

We've had this stalemate since I bought the place. He is still trying to cut down trees.

NO, NO, NO!

Had not really thought about towing another vehicle to ride around in ....would probably rent a vehicle if needed versus towing one around the country.
Yup decision made-will rent. Love the idea of a fire pit and RV patio!!!

Kenny, did you forget to mention which table you sit at, Kings of BS or Reserve BSers?

Years ago I wants to open a restaurant in West Virginia.
The plan was for it to be a breakfast place and the name was going to be “The Liars Club” because BS talk is what happens with the regulars at places like this .....BUT ...Scott wanted to open a bar/food place and he wanted to call it .....”Head over heels bar and grill” . We could never agree on our business plans nor names .....so we claimed our spots in office cubicles. Bummer.

My question would be is, how are you going to get somewhere to rent a car in the RV? Depending upon what location you are at it might be cumbersome to maneuver the RV when you go to pick up your rental.

I want a bar named "Work". That way spouses really won't be lying when they say they are going to work.

Morning, folks.

I am TIRED. My parents came over yesterday to help me with a big landscaping project. Well, part one of two of a big project. I have two really large flowerbeds in the front of my house, and both have gotten pretty out of control. Too thick with flowers because some of what is in there has just spread and spread...things like phlox, and daylillies...I'm not the best gardener, so I don't plant thoughtfully and I'm not good at thinning things out. Plus, one of the beds unfortunately got some creeping charlie this year, and it just TOOK OVER.

My parents are just incredible gardeners. Their flower beds are beautiful. (Apparently I didn't inherit that gene - ha!). So, yesterday, they came over and we simply stripped the bed with the creeping charlie bare. Everything came out. EVERYTHING. We worked for about 6 hours. Dug everything out. We saved my peonies, which I love. Those actually came down with me from our old house up in northern Minnesota and survived being transplanted once, so hopefully they'll survive again, and we were able to strip away the weeds (I hope!). Saved a bit of bee balm, again, hopefully removed the weeds. But everything else got tossed. Laid all new mulch (there was some red lava rock that all got removed).

I am exhausted, sore, have a bit of a headache, but it was so worth it.

The other half is even larger, but no creeping charlie so I don't think we have to strip it bare, just thin everything and remove what I don't want anymore, sort of rethink the design. Maybe next weekend? I'm tired already.

So you and your parents spent most of yesterday killing plants. >:)>:

Wait till AJ hears about this !!!!!!!!

Oh, curious question how are your parents doing with their new dog. I think it was your parents that got a new pup last year maybe???
There was no way to save most of them...they had been so choked out by the creeping charlie. That weed is incredibly invasive. It made me so sad. The roots of the creeping charlie gets entangled with the roots of the other plants and it literally creeps over them and chokes them out. It's horrible. I've never had it in my yard before and it just appeared out of nowhere.

Actually, if AJ has some advice on making sure I don't get it back, or being able to kill it without harming the plants if it shows up again, I would LOVE to hear it! I have a tiny bit in my backyard that I just keep pulling up because I won't use chemicals back there (because of the dogs).

I am very worried about getting more in the front!

The fun thing is that I get to put some new plants in the front next spring.

My parents' dog is actually doing pretty well, Di! She's settled in very well and they adore her. She's very smart. Definitely has some kind of herding breed in her. Loves to chase critters and is very, very tuned in to every critter they come across on their walks. She's jumped off the dock at the lake into the water, which shocked them! Because of covid they didn't get to do more than one intro class, and she really does need some training...she's a bit challenging on a leash because of the intensity of locking on to critters and wanting to chase. She's not terribly fond of other dogs. But she's a super super sweet girl, loves her life. My parents aren't really big into training classes, so I don't know how much progress they'll make on improving her leash manners, but she's not horrific. She could probably improve with good effort. I'd personally put her in a prong, but that's me ;) She's smart as a whip.

Going to try and attach her photo for you. She has a couple of hand me down collars from Sypha :D

WELL CRAP SP - what a time waster wankle.
- get your hopes all set, for some pocket $$....and nothing but a "tire kicker"

Text me the model # and year of your Ford tractor...plus a few photos.
- Beau wants to do, some research, for Ya
- and how does it run ?
BeauBear,

I will send you some current pics and it is currently not running. It started up when Mr. Scully was trying to explain the quirks with it. Then Mrs. Scully took over the conversation. That was inspection day and somebody had to follow the inspector around!

That was my job!

I inspected the inspector.

:grin2:

All Mister had to do was get the needed info on the tractor's special needs.

Morning MC.

I am still gloating after yesterday's KS/OU game.

I bet Mister feels as wore out as you with the unintentional beating I gave him yesterday.

I couldn't help it. He chose to sit next to me.
