Believe it or not, I have heard that song.
...And your Cuz #1 will probably claim to have also dated him in the 70's and so was the inspiration for the song.... :grin2:

Good Morning Peeps!

I haven't been job hunting very hard this week. I've been waiting for Paycom to call me back for an interview with hiring managers. The recruiter said she would call me back this week and here it is Friday.

I am also locked out of applying for FedEx. I've reset my password and still a no go. There is not even a help button. Or a phone number to call.

Hi y'all!!!

Everybody sleeping in this morning? Not here! We've got a midwest style thunder storm (a series of cells actually going on.)

Had a huge thunder clap at about 4:00 am--and then it started to rain. YAY! Got lots of rain with it too., Supposed to get more today and tomorrow. Already had 1/4 or inch--first measurable rain we've had in 27 days.

Now they have possible flood warnings out for all of the burned out areas in Clackamas county. The wind direction has changed and we are now sending smoke to the Cascades and on to Idaho.

That first clap of thunder frightened Clark under the bed--he's evidently sound sensitive. Leon is fairly deaf and is griping about me not getting his breakfast for him. Joey, the loaner? He's sleeping through the whole thing.

And I'm taking my coffee and going back to bed until 6:00 am--left hand Portland side. The air quality is improving even as I type. Best it's been in days. Pretty soon I'll be able to open the windows.

C'mon fresh air.

"Raindrops keep fallin' on my head.."

So --------------- Where is everybody been the last few days ?
I spent yesterday at the local Mohs cancer clinic getting a spot on my forehead removed. Didn't feel too bad yesterday but I can't say the same for today--guess I need to do some more icing it.

So Ken, I wasn't sneaking around having fun while the farmers were working.

That makes sense...Let's make another change how it has always been since consistency now causes stress. No fan of DST since i am at my best later in the day but if it is not necessary for one year why not just abolish it all together!?:nerd:

Good morning everyone and how is everybody weekend going>:)

You got that right about the rain Di , the water is coming up quick! Most of the lakes docks are now under water around me. I love a wet Florida the nights get so noisy.
:2smile:
I am in agreement. Get rid of the time change! It's stressful and shocking to my mental state.

Wasn't the purpose of changing the time supposed to do something for the farmers or something? Kenny? Any insight?

The rain just has to help the air quality. I was thinking that before you typed it!

Oh yeah!
Good morning everyone.
Today I am saving lives and Scott opted to take the day off from work because it is really Friday!
Scott plans to go visit his dentist for a cleaning and is in hopes it is sweater day at their office.
AND THEN to take away his pain he plans to go shoot his gun for some manly fun at the gun range.
It is really pretty here today. Sunshine and blue skys.
Heck next week we are having winter here is Florida ,temps dropping into the 70’s with low humidity.
What a wonderful life I live!

Not the farmers--the cities--supposed to save on expended energy for lighting but that was when they built public buildings (and apartments with light wells so that inside areas were still lighted by daylight.

The famers, especially the dairy farmers were screaming their heads off because cows definitely didn't 'get' that kind of time change and expected to be milked at the same times they were milked all the time.

That would qualify as an "or something", Denny.

Thanks Aunt B!

I knew it had something to do with cows or something, but I forgot.

Hello Sis, sticky buns were great. MB informed me they were not real sticky buns. It was a new recipe, but the topping was not as smooth kind caramely that runs down the side, so in her estimation I could not actually call them sticky buns. But, yeah, if you can't get them out of your mind there is only one thing to do - buy or make some.
I made Rich go up to the cabin Tues to do some things I could not help with and I too many things going on here with company coming next week.
He keeps threatening to come back and I say, no, not until that deck floor is complete! Now you all know what a mean wife I am. Actually it is hard on me having him gone too, but I have to act tough if we ever get done.
I can't leave because of the dogs. My Staffybull girl is in season and the two male Chinese Cresteds are twitterpated. They have a howl like a coyote. Put their little noses to the air and howl and soon the whole houseful of dogs are howling, including the Dobermans! It is wild. And all because of the Staffy. She will be getting spayed as soon as it is over.
Did Hurricane Laura reach your part of Fla? I was thinking about you and AJ. Not sure where you all are.
