Tess meets a lizard her own size

Little Tess has had a fixation on our smaller reptiles. She is getting better around the beardie bins, as she is under surveillance! So, today we introduced her to “Who”. She was real calm with Who until Who decided to move, Tess shot straight to her feet and moved behind Who.

How cool!!!!! I think Tess realizes she could be Who's lunch and wants to stay on his good side :)

wOW! Very cool lizard. Love the name. I can't blame Tess for wanting to play with Who.
Very cool pet! I always wanted a large monitor of some kind. Poor pup don't know what to think! LOL
Wow, Who looks as big as Tess!
Oh wow, your Tegu is beautiful! Heck, both your babies are gorgeous. I'm sure they both have amazing temperaments too. :)
That is hillarious, it would be an interesting conversation I am sure if dogs could talk.
I'm sure Tess would be saying " I heard lizard tastes like chicken Hmmm",we had a Jack Russell that used to try and take the head off my Corn snake,so we kept them apart.
Hehe How cool :) Duchess would probably do a play bow...and probably right on it :( Cute pictures!
Oh Wow!!!! Before Cleo died and we got Jordan my hubby and I were getting ready to put down a deposit on a B&W tegu. Where did you get yours from? Of course we haven't discussed it since getting the pup but the plans are still in the future. Beautiful lizard.

We picked it up at East Bay Vivarium when we lived in CA (Bay area). When you buy one, make sure its a baby and captive bred. They eat anything!
Thanks. There are two breeders that we've looked into. One that handles often straight from hatchling and another that come recommended by friends who have bought from them before. We've wondered how my 13 year old would do with one and now I'm wondering about the pup.
13 is a good age. Our tegu is very calm. Our oldest son has been holding it since it was a little feller. It just hangs out now with anyone and relaxes. Outside it is very skiddish. We used to have a two lizard limit (thats how many loose in the house at one time) but now with Tess, its no lizards untill she starts to ignore them like our other dobies.
That is one big creature! Great pictures!
