Summer dogs (pictures)

It's been a couple of months since I've posted any pictures of Dance, Keira and Ripley, so I figured I'd share a whole bunch taken recently and over the summer. There are lots, but I'll try not to post too many! :)

Ripley cuddling with his favourite sister. Poor Dance... she loves him too, but not quite as much as he loves her I don't think. But she puts up with her pesky little brother's antics very well.

I was house-sitting recently for a friend and brought her Rottweiler over to my house for a playdate one afternoon. She has loads of energy and I wanted to try and wear her out somewhat as I had to work the next morning.

Still more!

Here are a couple of Ruca (the Rottweiler) that I took during a walk...

And the rest of these were taken just the other night on a trip to the park...

Still some more, but just one more post full!

love the portrait with all four dogs--every single one of them looking at the camera and looking happy. Cut off a little at the top or blur the edges (garbage can), and you could mat it and frame it for a lovely Christmas present for the friend, IMHO.

What fantastic pictures. What are Tollers like to live with - personality wise? I think they are a beautiful breed and I've been seeing more out at agility, etc.

Thank you! I really like living here. It is very pretty, and quite a range of scenery between prairies, foothills and mountains. :)

Thank you! Dance is very easy to live with. She's content to sleep most of the day away and occupy herself with a bone to chew or something, and never pesters me to exercise her or play with her. That said, once we are out, she has a lot of stamina and energy and can go for hours. She's pretty people pleasing, but definitely has a stubborn, mischievous streak. She's incredibly silly and just lives to have fun and a good time, but knows when to be serious as well. She gets along well with other dogs, but doesn't put up with rude behaviour. She's not very big (29lbs) but is quite sturdy and can play really rough with the Dobes no problem. She is quite vocal, but not all Tollers are. She's not barky by any means, but she likes to talk to me (and the rest of the family) in various roos and grumbles. She's very easy to train. She is very food, toy and praise motivated and learns very quickly. She is incredibly shy and leery of strangers (some might be inherent, but she wasn't socialized enough before I got her), but once she gets to know somebody, she loves them. She's excelled at pretty much everything I've ever done with her, and if I could just get her more comfortable with people, she'd be unstoppable as far as sports go. She's a medium-high energy Toller. Some are more energetic than she is and need more stimulation, thus are not quite as easy to live with for some people. A lot of it as far as drive and energy goes depends on different lines and breeders as well. I'm sure there is a lot more I could tell you, but if you ever have any specific questions, I'd be more than happy to answer them for you. :)

Thanks! I think Ruca always has a big smile on her face. She's a very bouncy, happy girl.

Thanks!! I've always loved the look and they sound like a neat breed. Not sure I could ever do 'hair' on a dog though :) They remind me somewhat of Vizslas.
