Hello everyone.
I am showing my eu dobe in EU so with that said stack is a bit different. IMO double handling that's popular here is really annoying for me and i want to do only solo that's why i am trying to perfect this.
I can't seem to explain one thing to my boy and that's step (front paws a bit forward so i can get him to lean properly forward and get a straighter back) tried a few things and he just doesn't get it. Hoping to get new ideas

This is the best i can do, his head should be a bit lower but that's my mistake and an easy fix.
Any suggestions are welcomed :x

Do you have a kennel club nearby where you can take handling class? Or do you know a breeder/handler who could help you in person? His roached back looks to be a conformation flaw more than a stacking issue because it's much worse when you've released him. Have you ever had him adjusted by a chiropractor?

There are no clubs like that here and stacking is done with a ball where a dog is pulling in to a stance and locked in pray drive. He only does that back thing when we are doing/practicing free stance in trot he is perfect when i lock him in pray drive it's perfect, hand stacking also straight back. Chiropractor doesn't really exist only a normal vet and i had him checked for everything and examined for everything. His breeder checks up on him regularly too and according to him there are no problems he just acts that way for that exercise.
I've noticed he does that back thing when he is a bit unsure in a way he gets tense and does that.
Forgot to add that he lost a bit of muscle mass during winter since i couldn't risk runing him like i usually do because ice was everywhere and we live in the city.

I have seen Dobes handled in Europe on rare occasion by a single handler from the front. Most times they used a longer leash and stood much farther in front of the dog where you can hold the bait object lower in front of the dog to get the head down. If you can find some old videos of Alfa Adelante del Citone, he was handled a lot that way.

I have seen others kneel beside the dog with their hand on the front of the chest and the ball on the floor in front of the dog.

If you are wanting the dog to step, apply gentle pressure on the leash in the opposite direction of the foot you want to move forward.
