Bitch britches and a lot of pads. Ugh.
Yeah, I've always found the pet store britches pretty worthless.I don't think any of the bitch britches you buy at stores work. I only buy them from dog show vendors.
They also make wonderful braided collars and leashes, and the coolest prong collars of all. The prongs have leather braided through the links as an added safety feature. Not only do they look good, it keeps them from coming apart, which prong collars do now and then. You're awesome, thanks for that info. Cher just had her first season a few months ago, but I need to buy some for whenever she decides to go in again. I only have whippet ones here.
All of my dobe bitches prior to this went in about every 7-8 months, which you can live with. THIS is just terrible. Complicating it is Mr. Rush *does not* believe he's neutered, and if given the opportunity, he WILL tie with her. Luckily he's only bad for the actual 3 days she's fertile-if I were getting ready to breed her, he'd be a great barometer about when to get it done. But for those three days, he's a total walking hormone, worse than many intact males I've known. So I'm as happy as I can be about not having to deal with it this time..she's at day 7 right now, and will be out by the time I get home. I feel sorry for the boy dogs who might be at the kennel with her, but c'est la vie.Lucky you that you get to miss most of the beautiful Razzle's season. Every 4 months though.....ugh. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for faaaar apart seasons for Cher. We'll have to wait and see.
Oh no!! I wonder how my little Pug is going to react - he is neutered....Complicating it is Mr. Rush *does not* believe he's neutered, and if given the opportunity, he WILL tie with her.
