Hi all....

Barb and I took Major on a walk today. We noticed that, at times, one of his back legs was shaking a bit. We were not sure if that was due to just his excitement at being 'out' or if it could be a more serious problem. The shaking I saw was in his lower leg. It was only visible when we would stop for him to pee. He is just over 3 years old.

He is our first Dobe and I know they are prone to hip and wobblers issues but I don't know what to look for. Should I be concerned??? Thanks.

Sam has done this a few times. It's when he's really excited, sniffing around like crazy. He's sniffing so hard that his body shakes, especially if the squirrels are around.

Did you feel all around his leg to make sure he doesn't show any signs of pain?

Simon's rear leg will occasionally shake, but he's nine years old. Our vet has checked him out, and there's some rear leg weakness and a little arthritis in his back hips. I'd be a bit worried in a three year old. Doesn't hurt to have a vet check it out.
