It has been a really hard decision but we are going to try an rehome our Doberman - Thor.

He's lovely and only 7 months old, full of energy! He absolutely loves nothing more than meeting other dogs and even when pressured by others he only reacts in a calm way. We have young children 6/7 and he's great with them, although incredibly boisterous.

So why do we want to rehome him? Unfortunately our situation has drastically changed in a very unforeseen and personal way.

We are based in Shropshire and wondered if anyone knew of anyone who would be willing to give him a good and loving home as he does now.

He's full pedigree and comes from great stock and all officially registered.

However he was born with a congenital eye disorder where he has a detached retina. He's been seen by some of the best eye specialists in the UK and essentially there is nothing that can be done. So his eyesight is impaired on one side. Although you'd ever know! His other eye is perfect.

We really don't want to take him to a rehoming centre as he's just not that kind of dog. He's a big softy who loves to please. and we are heartbroken at this decision.

So if anyone has any advice or knows of anyone please let us know.

Many thanks

Tim

yep, if he comes from "great stock" that means his breeder probably has a return clause in the contract you signed. contact them before dumping him elsewhere.

Did you contact your breeder ?

As said above hopefully there's a clause in your contract that might help you out.

I hope you can find a loving home for him.
