Posting again to see if any young B & T Female Dobes dogs need a first class home.
I had 2 Dobe sisters for 12 yrs, lost them both last year. Looking for a young dog with cropped ears, tail. Don't seem to be having much success with the local rescues....so I'm able to make a drive to find the right girl.
20 acres, home all day, she'll sleep in our bedroom & ride in the truck. Best home imaginable. There HAS to be dozens of dogs in Rescue situations, in the South Eastern USA, that meet this description....without encouraging bad breeders to breed more!

I second DRNC, reach out for Ellen or Leslie. They are fabulous ladies. I know they have a few female puppies left too. =)

Yep. I know about the Rescues here in NC. Unfortunately, they have issues with ear cropping, and require a contractual agreement NOT to crop ears. Everyone has their own opinion, I guess. In the meantime, our fantastic home/farm is still awaiting a rescue dog.
Any help would be appreciated by myself...but probably way more by the lucky Dobe-girl who lives out her forever life with us.

Rescues often have young dogs with ears ears already cropped that they are trying to place. If you let them know on your application that you are looking for a dog with cropped ears they should be able to help. It may take a few months for the right dog to come up though. Good luck.

I am again going to reach out to ZeldaRules for you on this! She works with shelter dogs and rescues in Texas where they always have beautiful Dobermans needing a home! Maybe you and her can start a conversation and save one and get her shipped to you! Good Luck!

I am also reaching out to a few of my facebook friends for you!

What age do you consider to be "young"? Specifically, what is the age range of a dog that you are looking to adopt?

I did a quick 500 mile petfinder search for you and you are right, nothing on there Cropped and Docked. I did see two pretty young females with natural ears :D I know they would love your home! Have you tried your local shelters, I had mine on speed dial and would call them EVERYDAY!

I will keep looking for you!
