HDR looks blotchy and overdone, actually less definition.

On the other hand your sensitive side is very attractive:)
I'm going to have to agree on this one. I don't care for the HDR of Q. And I like the flowers. Are they Lily Of The Valley, or am I completely off on my botany?

yeah - I was giving WHAP a hard time... there are other HDR setting that would look better. But I like the non HDR as well.

the flowers... not sure what they call them.. whoever landscaped our neighborhood bought out the nursery of these bushes...

HDR reminds me of an oil painting. I prefer the non-HDR Q as well. The flowers are lovely. :)

Lily of the Valley looks more like this:

I'm thinking the bushes may be Leucothoe axillaris

If so, tell Q to stay away from them. Their common name is "dog-hobble". I have no idea why.

Yeah--I just looked in the ASPCA website. It has this to say:

"Dog Hobble

Additional Common Names:
Dog Laurel, Fetter Bush, Black Laurel
Scientific Name:
Leucothoe sp.
Family:
Ericaceae
Toxicity:
Toxic to Horses, Toxic to Cats, Toxic to Dogs
Toxic Principles:
Grayanotoxins
Clinical Signs:
Vomiting, diarrhea, depression, cardiovascular collapse, hypersalivation, weakness, coma, low blood pressure, death. Ingestion of a few leaves can cause serious problems."

Smart Q!

Well, the flowers do look similar.

I do think that whoever does these landscaping things should pay attention to more than a plant's looks, though--like whether or not the plant is extremely poisonous, for example.
