Just obedience training. Both trainer said he can take protection training but it is too expensive.... He took 8 private class already. But he still has problem with "heel". So I think he might needs more class.
If you are truly looking more for pet obedience classes (and not protection training), here are two training clubs in the LA area that I have personally observed classes at.
West Los Angeles Training club -
WLAOTC - West Los Angeles Obedience Training Club
Classes are held at Cheviot Hills Rec Center in West LA. I observed one of their competition classes but have not observed any of their pet OB classes. For competition training (which is what I was seeking) they were OK but I was looking for something a little different. I think for pet OB they would probably be pretty good. The environment was upbeat, people were friendly, dogs seemed happy and enjoying themselves, and the trainer used primarily positive methods which was important to me. The people there also seemed to really liked training there.
Valley Hills Obedience Club -
Valley Hills Obedience Club | Obedience, Rally, Agility
Classes are held in Canoga Park in the San Fernando Valley. I love this place. We take group competition classes and I also take privates from Moira Cornell. For competition training I think they are very good. I've also seen their pet OB classes from a distance and they look pretty good too. I would definitely recommend Valley Hills.
If you are looking for something more protection or working club oriented, I know another trainer that used to be heavily involved in Schutzhund and currently primarily does scent/bomb detection work with LAPD and other organizations. He could probably give you some recommendations. He also does private lessons but he is VERY expensive. But he may be able to provide you with some good recommendations for other trainers that are more working oriented.

Good luck!
