In your research, was same sex aggression noted as something to be aware of? That is not something that can be trained out. I think the concern lies with the addition of another male puppy into your household where other intact males reside.

Having an intact bitch in the household just really increases the odds of the males fighting, too.

There are many people on this site who have 4+ dogs.... RedFawn/ Adara are a few....do they only have 1 male and 3 females? How do they seem to make this work?

I've always made the promise to my boys that more than one bitch might come to live with us, but throughout their lifetime, they'll always be the only boy. I've always kept that promise. So yes, I keep one male and multiple bitches.
