So, I have been waiting for my puppy for months and he's finally coming home next
Wed. I am sooooo excited as I'm sure you can imagine! The breeder is in a different State, so she is picking out the boy for me. She is very sweet and seems very knowledgeable.

This morning I received an email from her saying that she has picked out a beautiful boy with a good temperament. However, the thing that concerns me a bit is that in the email she also mentions that he just had a surgery.

He's about 10 weeks old and she says that there was a little hernia where the umbilical cord is attached and that she didn't want him to go to his home before it was taken care of.

She says that it was a cosmetic thing and that "at that time" the vet said that he is one healthy boy.

Should this be something that I need to be concerned with?

Thank you in advance!

Thank you very much for your input. She is wonderful and I have been very happy to have found her. I owe it to the folks in this forum. Will be posting pics as soon as she sends them.

My Parker had an umbilical hernia that his breeder repaired before I picked him up. Never caused him a problem. You can see in my avatar that he is fine. :)
