Hi everyone... i would likeyou to read your ingredients on your dog food... if it says corn it is horrible for them... Corn can not be digested. Corn Meal cant be digested. If you want your pets on a good food, the first six ingredients must be good for them and most foods at Petsmart and so on are all filler foods... make them gain weight... and not good for their immune system... Holistic is great and it is what they are made to eat...

Are your dobes vegetarian or carnivores? If you answer vegitarian im gonna just Roll on the floor... because your dogs are Carnivores they need meat and protien... Science Diet....Purina... Plan Royal Canin doesnt have that... they have fillers which are hard for your dogs to digest...so lets go read our ingredients and think about changing our food because anything other than meat and some other foods are bad for your dogs...

Corn has NO nutritional value... it cant be digested... ugh... who wants to poop whole Kernels of corn... OUCH :eek2:

let me know what you are feeding... ill let you know if it is good... i work at a holistic food store...

hey kim i did go to yahoo to check and it shows i was a apart of bluedobes and i still am... i know the owner of this group... he lives here in seattle... and i forgot about him because i dont post there i just email the owner and one of the moderators... that lives in my city. :D

that was my mistake because i dont get on my groups very often... i have lots more groups that i am joined in butmost are nativer american stuff... so that was my mistake on that... forgive...sorry... when you said that i said i better go check cause i didnt put that i was part of blue dobes i dont think... so yes i am... but i dont post there :D
elizabeth, no one said anything about bluedobes. and jim anable doesnt support albino dobermans to my knowledge, either.

did anyone else notice she didn't answer or address my point, again?

if you know me, its from the other boards you claim to not be a part of and never posted on. which is it?
Interesting. Jim (the owner of bluedobes) and I are on the DPCA Rescue Committee together. He said he had invited you to a chapter club meeting, but that he didn't know you.

According to the bluedobes group, you joined on 8/16/05
What did I miss here? Why is everyone beating up on white and blue?
I'm pretty confident in saying this goes beyond our forum Jim. Lets get back to the dogs guys, sound good??
Excuse me for interupting the 'catty' conversation, but I thought this had to do with what we feed our dogs!
SO...... I would like to buy Innova but it is not a brand easily found here. I do, however, feed my dog Lamb and Rice formula as she has an allergy to both corn and wheat. Most dog foods have those two ingredients in them.
If someone has any other brands that I can consider, please let me know.
This thread has gone way off topic lets try and steer it back shall we?

Lil Arrow,

Check out Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul http://www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com/ I am currently feeding my 2 year old this and she loves it. I noticed a big difference in her coat after having her on this food, no more dandruff and she put on a few pounds that she needed.

I am not sure about the Corn and Wheat in it so you better check their website for details.

DA
Yeah I started The chick soup too and it has made a noticable difference with Lexus. I feed less, she was really dandruffy and that has completely gone away! No corn, not sure about wheat though......might want to check that.
Have you considered cooking for your dogs? GKar has been fed grnd chuck, vegatables and brown rice with some additives since he was 6 weeks old. When I am feeding just him I only cook twice a month and its really not that big of a deal. I portion out 15 days feedings and then just microwave to heat.

Rod
:largegr: Cook??!! I don't even cook for me!! LOL
Pyper does not have the dandruff part unless she has had wheat.
Thanks for the info though, I will check out that Chicken Soup.
i cook for both mine provided i have the time and not working 12 hours a day 7 days aweek... :((

have you checked the top six ingredients. if it doesnt have corn animal fat, animal digest , or any hole grains in it you are good... but those are a few of the things that dont digest at all..
From looking at the ingredience, there is no wheat. I just hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Also, someone said their dog gained weight? "Tubby Tuna" does not need to put any more pounds on. Thanks again, I will phone our local pet stores. Being in Canada, it may not be available here but I will try in the morning.
lol... also check something like canidae and innova if you have acces

and it will be easy to find canidae in canada that is hwere it is made hehehehe

holistic food.. no additives... nothing but all natural stuff... it will help that coat..
Thanks... I will check it out tomorrow.
Have a good evening everyone.. Time for Pyper and I to hit the sack.
Night all.
