Same question here. Has he never been posted? If not maybe/maybe not.

Will they stand now if posted--ditto--maybe/maybe not.

If the puppy has never been posted after being cropped the probability of starting now and getting standing ears would depend on how determined you were post and keep posting for months. Sometimes that works. The only way to determine if they will stand is to start posting and keep posting--for months generally.

Yea is my same pup. So his ears finally healed and I have posted his ears for 2 weeks now. So I noticed I said 5 months, but he was born on March 4, so he is actually 4 months. After he was cropped the vet posted his ears when he removed the stitches. But it only lasted 2 days because my pup knocked them off. When I removed them completely I noticed he was bleeding and had many scabs still. The vet asked me to take him back the next day to get him posted. I decided not too because I wanted his scabs to heal. So after they healed I posted his ears but that is when I wrapped too tight and had to wait for his ears to heal again. So now he has been posted almost 2 weeks but I noticed when I take them down his ears stay up like 1 to 2 min. And flop again. So I'm curious if they will stand. Thank u everyone for your advice.

OK--so I think you are just expecting the ears to stand sooner than the actually do.

I'm going to assume you are not trying to leave them up for two weeks but have been doing multiple posting (that last for 3 or 4 days before you take them down, clean the ear and put them back up?)

If he's only 4 months along with just having cropped ears that have had to have posting delayed because of sores he's probably started teething. At this stage of posting what you see when you take them down is exactly what you are seeing--they will stand briefly and then flop. This is pretty normal. And you need to keep posting them--don't leave them unposted any longer than is necessary to clean the ear, let it dry and repost.

There is no real reason the ears wouldn't stand but a couple of weeks of posting wont do it. You can figure on posting AT LEAST until seven months--you definitely need to post through the teething process--and that's usually a period starting at around 4 months and all of the teeth having erupted around 6 months.

I rarely have puppies that have really good standing ears at 6 months--I can almost always count on posting until at least 7 or 8 months.

But the standing ears right after you take them down is what keeps you posting--so that they'll look like that all the time. And that just means you need to keep posting.

Send pictures when you take them down and we'll cheer you on.

So yea I have been posting every 2 to 3 days. The reason for that is because he knock out the post but I'm glad they last atleast 2 days =). Yea he has starting teething. I'm glad to hear I'm headed the right direction. Thank you bug you have always gave me great advice. Next time I repost I will take the pics and post for you guys.

I don't have anything to add, but hey! I'll join in with the cheering. Pictures are always fun and so are stories about your pup experiences (both good AND bad. It's nice to know that we are not alone in our pup traumas LOL)
For sure I love sharing so pics will come. Just bare with me because I have a wife a princess and 3 fur baby's. Thank you as well. =)

I'm cheering--just keep posting and every time you take them down they'll look better and stand longer. Tell him his Aunty Bug has a real soft spot for fawn boys--with standing ears--that'll encourage him (give him a nice treat too.)

Seriously--they are coming along--now it's just a matter of time and posting.
