Please help me choosing a fine Dry Food brand.

I'm sure you guys use Dry Food for a long time now, I used to feed my dobie(10 month old now) fresh food but I switched yesterday to dry food since it's cheaper and time saver, by the way I live in Egypt and we don't have a lot of dry food brands, the most famous is Royal Canine, dog chow and Pedigree but it is imported from Europe so they are very expensive. I was walking in Carrefour (French Hyper-Markets around the world and I found on the shelf Carrefour Dry food imported from Thailand with reasonable price so I bought for a test so what do you think about it's Ingredients:

Whole Wheat Grains, Soya bean Meal, Poultry Meat Meal, Poultry Fat, Poultry Digest, Monocalcium Phosphate, Iodized Salt, Vitamins, Minerals, Flavors & Food Coloring.

It's Nutrition contents:
Protein: Min. 20%
Carbohydrates: Max. 60%
Fats: 6%
Fibers: 4.5%

It says, if a dog weighs from 25 kilos to 45 kilos takes 450gram to 750 gram as a daily Meal, I give him about 500 gram but I use a measuring cup in ml, I know that a litre of water equals a kilo but I not sure that it can work with this situation. How many grams do you recommend for my doberman, he is about 35 Kilos ??

I just want to make sure that this brand is fine, because I read a lot of articles about awful diseases leads to death comes from bad dry food brands. Thanks for reading.

I would not feed it. If those are your only choices. Go back to fresh and raw food.
The first things we go by is the food has no wheat, corn, or soy and that food has food coloring in it a big NO NO.

Fresh food takes a lot of time to be prepared and it cost higher than dry food, I fed him Chicken structure with bones with some bread and I add vegetables sometimes.
Royal Canine is several times better, than the Carrefour Dry food imported from Thailand with reasonable price / you found.
- the ingredient list your provided is mainly low quality and very low cost, I would not feed it...period
I feed high quality kibble plus 2 home cooked meals of meat/veggie/rice.

Canidae "all life stages" may be sold around the world - it should be better than Royal Canine (contains corn & beet pulp), dog chow and Pedigree.

Have you checked into Earthborn Holistic Egypt?
Home : Earthborn Holistic Pet Food
I checked it, the company that imports Earthborn does not sell Earthborn anymore, they sell Pro Pac now the only thing I can found on the link I got from Earthborn website, here is the link on their website to check it's ingredients:
http://www.egypteuropepet.com/for the dogs.html
Try going to the Dog Food Advisor site in my signature under Dog food Information. Find the 4 star list and start researching to see if you can get any over there. You can also look up the review they do of Pro Pac. If you do feed it, feed the Adult Pro Pac. I would also add some meat and fresh cooked vegtables. to the ProPac to reduce the amount of corn he consumes. Corn is used to boost the amount of protein, but plant protein is hard for a carnivore to digest and can be somewhat hard on the kidneys. There are other ingredients I dont like. Read the review and try to find a better food. Try not to go over 440 calories per cup. That is why you want to feed the adult. Try feeding 2 to 2 1/2 cups twice a day, cutting back some when adding meat/veggies. Too many calories can cause pano, a painful but temporary and not harmful bone disease. Do not feed the Sportmix ever!!! In my opinion it will do harm to your dog. The Dogfoodadvisor site was down, but it will come back up.

I've had good luck with 4health, I buy the lamb and rice variety. Doubt it's in Egypt. Taste of the wild salmon probably not there either.

Both are protein, not grain.

You would find your adult would have less gas with those brands too. Hope you can find something similar.

Thank you Eisel for the recomendation for 4Health food. We bought Kira some a few weeks ago. She loves it! It is Lamb instead of Blue Buffalo which was Chicken but, she loves it just the same.
Double the amount of food for about half the cost.
:thanx:
