We had our friend Jack visit today and had to take some pictures. They are best friends. I dread the day Jordan doesn't accept male's as friends because these two are so excited everytime they see each other. I threw a few extra pics in there too only because they are family pics and I'm a normal mom who loves to brag and stuff. And, one of hubby with Jordan for proof Walt really is a softy.
I'm also going to attempt to post a video. It is horrible quality with my camera and the sun in combination.
Thanks y'all. He is a lovely boy. Even red and muddy can't hide his handsome charm.
They actually took turns very nicely playing the dominant/submissive roll just like they would take turns of who would get to be the cat and who would be the mouse. Jordan wouldn't miss an opportunity to be top dog though when Jack put out the invitation. He'll sleep for about two days now. Jack did finally teach him to do the growl grunts while playing but it took quite a while.
I think we must have posted the same time LapDog. Maybe it is called an Australian cattle dog. They are thinking he is mixed with lab too but that is only a guess. He is almost 8 months old and turning out to be very large.
The boys play so good together and Jordan sleeps for days afterwards. Well, not days but a long time.
You know bean, I think he looks more catahoula then australian cattle/shepherd, lab. I didn't even think of that. From what I thought she said they were sure the mom was australian shepherd (I'm honesly not sure hich one she said, shep or cattle dog). BUT....when looking up pictures to check resemblence his sister looks exactly like one of the pictures I see on yahoo picture search. She has a very colorfull face with one brown eye and one blue eye and such a georgeous girl. And, their energy and temperment matches the description to a T. I'll have to tell my friend I think she is majorly wrong about the breed of dog she has. LOL. I'll have to get a picture of Lady, Jack's sister.
Either way I'll enjoy them having their time together and hope they can remain friends without male/male aggression later. That will be heart breaking.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of him laying down and your daughter looking down at him. That picture is priceless.
The tail is adorable to me. I had a really tough time docking Ziris. I went back and fourth, should I shouldnt I, should I shouldnt I. Jordan is such a cutie though.
Thanks all of you. It makes me feel good to show him off. He is such a great puppy and I'm proud of him. We are loving his tail. I can't imagine him now without it. I am sure we made the right decision, and I found out yesterday that they really are good for balance. He was playing with a toddler down the road and she almost fell, but thank goodness the tail saved her. LOL.
Thanks BackinBlack. My oldest daughter is a little miss priss. She is the one Jordan goes after the most because she is probably the prissiest and makes the biggest squeels so I have to take these precious moments and catch them on film when I can.
This is the other picture of the two of them taken at the same time.
Great pics! The dogs look like they are having so much fun. I think my favorite has to be the last one you posted of your daughter & Jordan. I love pics of kids and Dobes.
