Picky Pooper?

LOL

I realize thats a funny subject to have. But I was curious if anyone else had a "picky pooper?".

Bruno will ONLY poop in certain areas. If he doesn't like the spot. He will hold it in. I don't get it. You can see he wants to go, but if he can't quite sniff out a good spot. There is just no way! Drives me nuts! Because I'll be outside with him for a good while waiting for him to go. He won't go and will walk back to the door. Once in side SOMETIMES he will let one go in the house  lil bugger lol. But yet we were JUST outside. He's so picky about where he poops. And in the winter it was always up on the snow hill. If he couldn't get up on the snow hill. He wouldn't go lol. Silly puppy he is ;)

Gracie does the same thing, she just wont poop in the house when we come back in. I make her stay out until she goes. Right when I get home from work I let her out, she runs off the deck and just goes. Sometimes when you gotta go, you gotta go. She doesn't always have time to sniff a good place.

I also noticed with her, she will not go in the same spot more than once. Which gets kinda hard by the end of summer. Once it snows she will go any where and every where. I just have to tell her not to eat the brown or yellow stuff when she starts eating the snow. :)
My greyhound would only poop in long grass!
I try staying out as long as possible with Bruno. But if he just doesn't found that good spot. He will NOT GO! It's frustrating LOL Because I know every morning he needs to go out for a pee and poop. It's like it's a routine. Before breakfast, he has to do the two. Then he will eat and shortly after go out agian. But he's just too dang picky!! lol He also will not go in hte same spot twice. And he likes to sniff low tree branches and go near them hahaha. He's so weird!!!
Mine are just picky that they have to be far far away from the house. All the way in the back. They won't go if it is near the house. And they won't go on concrete. They will hold it until they have to absolutely positively go, if they have to go in a cement kennel. They pace and sniff until they find the spot. I am always out there with the scooper picking it up so they don't run out of room by the back fence in their fav. area.
Deacon is not picky where but looks retarded when he poops. He doesnt understand that there is a difference between #1 and #2 so he finds a good bush or tree, hikes is leg and starts to poop on it. The only problem is he looses his balance and poops in the bush or on the tree. This is not fun to pick up/clean up at the dog park.

When I had Zeus he was kind of like that. He always did his business outside BUT he didn't want an audience:emo8: ! This same dog would get very upset if you closed the bathroom door for privacy, yet would have to find a tree to doody behind because HE needed privacy:eek2: !
Deacon's Mom, that mental image is so funny I can't stand it!!! Reminds me of Oscar when he was first learning to hike his leg to pee. We would walk by his favorite stop sign, he'd hike his right leg. Then on the way back approaching in reverse, he'd hike the left leg and fall over on his side, which made me pee in my pants from laughing. It raised the question, however, are all dogs either lefties or righties? With minimal practice however, he became ambidextrous. Guess they just have to develop muscle control over the balance issue, plus a mental image of what exactly they're trying to achieve. Hiking and pooping at the same time...now that is a certifiable talent. You must be proud. I couldn't do that.

All kidding aside, I think he'll work it out in time.
Ajax doesn't really have any pickiness issues, but he does look at me when he goes #2 on walks... i think it is kinda creepy myself lol.
