Yesterday and today Petey is not acting normal. He is sleeping constantly and seems to be moving very slowly when he is up, as if he is achy. He looks very sad. He is eating and drinking normal, but with no puppy gusto. I am soooo scared. I have a vet appointment in 2 hours. Anyone have their puppy ever act this way? Any ideas of what kinds of virus's or infections they can get?

Hope Petey will be OK. Is he limping at all? If so, could be Pano, although it could be a number of things. Did he get into anything? Stools OK? Good you are having him checked. They make us worry so.

Sending good thoughts and fast recovery....Keep us posted.

Thanks for your well wish for my baby. The Vet couldn't find anything wrong. He said it could just be growing pains. I will have to keep an eye on him, and he said if he goes off his food, then we will look further.

He was even excellent in the waiting room, not normal for him...he usually barks at the other dogs the entire time....he laid down next to me for most of the time....4 other dogs came and went too!

I am paranoid after losing my other dogs....I worry about him all the time. Too much my family says.

We took a hike....he didn't run at all. Was overly good when we ran into his dog buddies a Labradoodle and a yellow Lab, he didn't nip or bark at them. Now he has been sleeping since. He ate his breakfast. He isn't well....he is usually hell on wheels most of the day....and now it's day three and he's still sleepy and quiet. Vet said if he goes off his food or gets limpy...call him. I hate worrying about him!

Thank you all so much for caring about him.

Not exactly but anytime they aren't actng right I worry. Nash did act somewhat lethargic after we got him to the vets, but not so much when he first threw up the first sock.

Petey laying around this long is what worries me, just don't seem normal for a pup. I am a major worrywart when they change their behaviour!

Two things that are important to me is that they are eating and drinking and it is coming out the other end. :)
