Hi guys. I have been currently seeking an American Doberman puppy for several months. I have been doing a ton of research on this site along with DPCA and some people I trust. After waiting several months for the breeder I wanted to work with; we were sad to find out she only had one puppy.

I am currently looking for a female american doberman black/rust. This will be a companion pet but I want to work with a breeder who does health testing. This will be a family member for life so I want to find the right breeder.

I am very eager to bring a new puppy home soon. I have the freedom to work from home for a few months and think now is the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!!

She wasn't mine. She was a close friend and I had her for almost a year. Mine (Fozzie) passed away when I was 20 years old.

The girl above is about 4 now.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I do appreciate the support. It would seem you guys all know how challenging it is to find the right dog and breeder.

I have ALMOST spoken to every breeder on DPCA. I went through and interview process ( I was conducting) with each and found a few I liked. I was working with Angie at Montwood, a sweetheart btw but sadly her pup only had one dog.

I am on the hunt again now. Would it be best if I start a new thread in the Breeders section?

Again, thank you all for the welcome on to Doberman Talk. I hope I too can add some value as I share my experience with my new dog (when she comes home).

Thank you :] He is one of the most wonderful dogs I've ever met! However, I guess I'm biased, lol. I'm glad you're doing your research because there are some terrible breeders out there. Just remember that just because the breeder is on the list doesn't mean that they are stellar. Just like Zelda said, be vigilant and patient and you will find the perfect pup, I'm sure :]

I noticed that. I visited a few and wasnt very happy with the conditions. Thus I continue my search!
