Welcome to the forum. There is a search function in the upper right hand side where you can search different foods for your pooch. I feed Innova or Taste of the Wild for my kids.

Fish Oil is OK but I'd definitely look for a (much) better food. Look on dogfoodanalysis.com for food comparisons

If you look at the ingredients on the bag mostly fillers like corn yes if you buy a better food you may not have to feed as much at each feeding because the calories are denser. It will go just as far as the cheap stuff usually if you feed a good quality food you have better trips to the vet, better coat, & better health.I feed mine Salmon capsules from Walmart good luck with your new pup.

Welcome from Missouri and congrats on your new boy. I never recommend puppy food for a puppy. A good quality adult dog food will help avoid problems with pano etc.

Welcome to the forum from Virginia. Fish oil is fine but would definitely change to a different food...remember, this needs to be a slow process as you dont want to upset his system and have diarrhea on your hands. There are many threads on here concerning food and change over.

Welcome to DT. What happened to your GSD? I love both breeds.
Yes, what happened to your GSD? I have both breeds as well.

No one can make the decision for you as to what to feed your dog. Many dobes do well on Acana. Some do well on Pro Plan. I feed Nature's Variety.

Do some reading on Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble. It will help you learn what is, and isn't good to have in your dog food.
