Ok I need some help and direction. When I was a child we had Doberman's and I loved them. I than married a non-dog person at the time and I moved over to boxers they are great really they are. I presently have two a 7 yr old male and a 5 yr old female. My wife is now a great dog person and I am looking to make a move back into the doberman world.

I live in the Bucks Cty pa area. While I did show and finished both my present boxers I am leaning towards a pet quality doberman and I guess a female and I prefer red.

Are there good breeders in my area? What are they going for? I do prefer cropped ears as well.

I immediately thought of Fitzmar Dobermans. She is a member of this board and breeds some very nice dobermans, does all the health testing. I think she could steer you in the right direction. The cost of a pet puppy nowadays from well bred parents and fully health tested is in the neighborhod of 2000 dollars. Good luck in your search for a puppy!
