Back story....<takes deep breath>....Ok we have lived here for a little over two years. When searching for a new home we took many many things in to consideration ie:how far apart we were from neighbors, acreage etc. We have a little less than 3 acres, a little more than half fenced in (due the steep hill a ways behind us, or it all would be) So when we put a contract on it we were told the lot next door (3 acres) was a "un-build-able" lot, could not be sold. GREAT we thought awesome buffer, dogs could bark at what ever it is they tend to bark at and bother no one. Two weeks later ground is being broke for the new house ON the "UN-BUILD-ABLE" arrrrrhhhhh Ok no big deal right? Wrong.... I meet the owner to be who informs me right off the bat that the reason she moved here (our small town) was to get away from barking dogs < I cringe as my guys are out back doing the zooomies as one barks as he goes by> OK no problem we modify our current board fence, we board up the other side so the can't see anyone. Well the bad thing is they can still hear everyone. And like CoCo they now bunny hop down the fence to "see". I happen to find it hilarious...but I guess they do not. They suggested to me I get them shock collars, I bit my tongue and said I might ponder it...NOT. Well as time went on she would call and let me know that the dogs were ruining her lunch with her Mother. I was a wreck...
1.they're Dobes...bad mark there
2.they bark to let me know whats going on.....bad mark there
So tonight PeeWee was outside and to be honest with you I don't pay attention to most of her barks, it depends on what type it is. And she wasn't doing her serious barking like when she finds a snake or the like. They are not obnoxious, they to me are mouthy. They "talk" to me in the house all the time
Plus I grew up in a kennel, you got worried when they weren't making noise LOL.
So she called me up tonight and said "I'm sorry we seem to be disturbing your dogs tonight, it's our anniversary and we decided to eat our dinner on the deck. No problem I brought them in.
I find in my searching the UltraSonic bark control to be a humane way, so I was wondering if anyone else had, has currently using this or something like it?
