Im thinking of having my male Doberman castrated as he is becoming quite dominant with other dogs. My partner is unsure. Can anyone advise me on the pros and cons of having it done.

Male Doberman s can be aggressive towards other males even if neutered the best reason for having the surgery done is keeping him from going to look for a girlfriend, keeping the pet population down never should breed any dog not unless you can better the breed, keeping him from getting prostate cancer.

The risk of prostate cancer is higher for neutered dogs, by approximately four times.
