I got a text last night from Michelle, letting me know that a Connor daughter she and I co own picked up her second major in Dixon, CA yesterday.

That puts Olivia at 12 points, with just 3 singles left to go. Michelle's client dogs always come first, so we're pretty happy about how well she's done, having been shown very few times.

Her registered name is Foxfire's Whataya Want From Me-Connor x Jada (Ch. Foxfire's All About Me).

And before anyone asks-I *don't* have any recent photos of her, and am at Michelle's mercy in terms of what she sends me.

I've never been to Dixon when it WASN'T hotter than heck! :)

I probably would have gone up there this weekend if I'd known it was majors and Olivia was going to be shown..oh well....
Last year it POURED horribly all weekend and it was wet and nasty and no one had dog show clothes on!!! We all had jeans boots and rain jackets on.

Awwwww! I knew she was going to kick butt and take names--I can't remember what show she was in earlier this summer but she was looking very fancy indeed.

Not much wrong with that lil' black bitch--she's the right size, shape and attitude.

Big congratulations she should finish soon--there are some small shows coming up I think.

Connor is stamping his kids.

has he been 'outcrossed' ?
He's had litters with two Gallant/Ciden bitches-I'd say those litters are outcrossed as much as it's possible for American dobermans to be outcrossed. i.e., I think Eddie appears twice in about the 4th generation.

The first litter was with Ch. Gallant's Double Roses v Ciden-a 2 puppy litter, with the black male dying as a very young puppy (some nasty bacteria going around in his area).

The sole surviving puppy is the red multi group winning, Multi BISS Ch. Gallant's First and Foremost v Ciden, aka Brody. He's currently ranked #6 in the race for the top twenty. No denying who his father is, he and Connor are very similiar Brody is also proving to be a successful sire himself-he's the father of the puppy who now is the youngest American champion in history, who finished his first weekend out, 4 majors in 5 days from 6-9.

Connor was also bred to Ch. Gallant's Best Kept Secret v Ciden, again, outcrossed about as much as it's possible for an American dobe to be outcrossed. That was a litter of six (5 red bitches, 1 red dog). Those pups are a little over a year now, with (I think) 4 pointed, one major pointed. The ones I've seen or have seen pictures of again are very similiar to Connor.

It's hard to make any definitive conclusions, not enough puppies on the ground. But it's sure looking like he produces pretty well whether linebred or outcrossed.

so nice to see a dog sire type, when bred to 'different' type and his 'type', no matter what the pedigree. :)

Hugz to Connor!

jagermeifter and margarita night. I apologize if all this makes no sense to some. :)

Happy Halloween!

I think you probably saw her at the Mt. Hood specialty in July, or sometime over that weekend-she picked up a 5 point major at that specialty.
You're right--it was that weekend. I'm not sure if I was at the show where she picked up that big fat major but I was at the specialty and was watching her in the class and thought to myself that she looked ready to go.

Turns out she was more than ready. She's a really pretty bitch.

(And for any of you guys who don't know me--I don't often wax lyrical about bitches--I much prefer dogs so when a bitch catches my eye she's got to be pretty special indeed.)
