Kilo currently weighs 60lbs @8months and stands 28inches from top of the shoulder to the ground. Is that average or big for a dobie pup at this age? He stand about 32-33 inches if you measure from the ground to the top of his head.

Can't believe the time has went by that quickly!! The standard for males (to the top of the shoulder) is 26-28 inches, with 27 1/2 being an average. So he will probably top out a little above since he is just 8 mo. old right now. As for his weight, as long as you can press and feel his ribs, but they aren't obvious noticeable by sight, his weight is probably good as well. Is he a pretty slender boy? Seems like he would be a little heavier at 8 months. But that's not saying he's underweight, it all depends on their body type. Can't weight to see some current pics!

Bruno is fairly big (height wise) for a Dobie, he's 70lbs. But he's kept a steady weight since he was around a year. So last 6 months he hasn't really gained or lost any weight. Not sure on his height. I'd need to measure him. But I know generally when ppl see him, first thing they mention is his size (height).

Could be about right. But like you said, it vary's from dog to dog I think. Bruno looks big, but I would have figured his weight to be a little higher. But I've also noticed him being on the medi-cal hypo food he hasn't gained alot of weight. He's just stayed steady (but again, could be his age? lol).

that sounds about right. has he been neutered? male dobes take a while to fill out especially if they are altered at an early age

He is so cute...he looks mischievious, is he? Just that look in his eyes - lol. Bumpy is right at 100lbs at 15 months, I haven't measured him though, I think I will do that tonight. Kilo looks great to me. I hope mine is done growing....I have a whole lotta Doberman.

Kilo is a handful and gets into everything. He recently got out of his crate while we were at work as someone did not close both latches on the crate door. He had a good time that day (mainly chewed up shoes and socks). I'm not sure how much bigger he'll get but it will be nice when he gets bigger so that he doesn't keep getting punked by pittbulls at the off-leash dog park. He is starting to run with the big dogs now but still has that puppy prance instead of running.
