The little devil is really picking this up fast. This was our 1st time including distractions (ie. Fresh cowpies!) She did not miss a beat, even worked her first turn. Oh and she just turned 5 months old Sunday

and here she is waiting her turn

Beautiful pictures, she looks like she loves it!!
Wow! Great Work! and she looks good doing it ;)
Very good looking girl you have there - lean with nice muscle tone. FST tracking for SchH/IPO? Nice deep nose - love to see that as well. Great Job!
Good job getting her past those distractions.

I doubt Mensa could concentrate on any kind of work in a field of cow-pies.
Very pretty girl. Sounds like she is really enjoying it.
Brains and beauty,good combination.
regretfully there is no one in my area that does SchH. (not at least that I know of) It would be interesting to see if she has the aptitude for it.
right now we are working on just basic tracking with intent of getting an AKC TD

I was blown away by her focus! It will be interesting to see how she handles older tracks and those laid by other people.
It looks good! seems she have a lot of interest, don't go to fast, let her learn tracking first, before you go on tracks laid by other people. Learn her step by step, keeps her motivated!

Keep us posted how things go!
I was wondering, is tracking something you can teach your self, or is it something you really need to take your dog to a class for? With my work schedule, its really hard to get to things if they are on a certain day of the week only.
I did describe it once for tracy jo, I found the thread, may be you can read it, there are several ways to learn your dog tracking, this is how we learn our dogs tracking, may be you can do something with it, at least it will explain a little.

BTW How is your tracking these days Tracy Jo?

She looks like she is having a good time doing it too. I remember the thread from earlier and am glad you gave us the update. Good job to both of you.

Thanks for the link from the previous thread. Seems one of the biggest differences between Sch and AKC is with AKC you use a harness and the lead does not go thru the legs. But I think no matter the method it really is fun for dogs and the owners!
We also uses harnes, and some a booster, depend on the dog and you own preference.
