Kacy gets ears cropped tomorrow!

For those of you who crop ears on your dobies. Do you ever feel sad at the thought of not seeing those adorable floppy ears anymore? I've gone through this a few times but I always feel the same right before the appt. Even though I am excited to see her transform with her new beautiful ears

Also a little nervous as we are using a vet in N.H (I live in ME.) and we have never used him before. Hope he's as good as we have been told!

I will be sure to post pictures of her all taped up asap :butfly:

I hope it goes well. I just got my Nubis ears done today.
My two prev dobes had their ears cropped prior to getting them and I just posted them. I really didn't like the puppy ears as he just didn't have the dobe look.
When I first fell in love as a kid with a cousins dobe, it was rare to see them without ears cropped so that was my first impression and what I wanted.

No, natural ears on a doberman look silly to me.

I never feel sad because I'd never get to see the floppy ears, I support breeders who don't risk their puppies getting a bad crop and take care of it before they go home.

I'm in the same boat as Vegas. I never saw the floppy ears so I never got attached. When I got my boy he was already posted. I definitely don't mind either. The cropped look is what a doberman is to me (though they're beautiful natural too) and I definitely think that a c/d dobe is one of the most beautiful animals in the world.

I hate to agree with the stig but Im not against floopy ears but i much prefer the cropped

We dont crop here, so I get to enjoy those floppy ears forever
