I have been promising to post a video of of an ugly guy in sunglasses trying to show how to walk a dobe into a stack :) just for BiB to try and show what i tried to put into words in an e-mail(it's so much easier to show and tell)I cheated a little by using the easy one AGAIN (she is just a seasoned campaigner)Its not perfect, she really free stacks without bait on the floor but i wanted to show that is where you have to train to in terms of them standing STILL for food.Ziris WILL get to that stage BiB it takes time and all that practise we talked about.

AWESOME VIDEO BRUM!!! Thanks! We are working on it :D It's kind of like asking a tornado to stand still, but she is getting much better. Our instructor said she saw great improvement from last week :) So thanks for all the tips!
That was cool. How do you know where to place the rear legs? I always do it lopsided. I try to do this in front of a mirror or the sliding glass door to the patio.
Very nice, and who was that skinny guy in the shades??
LOL, Love the accent Brum :) That is a personal weakness of mine :D
Acooper, I think it was Rod Stewart or possibly Liam Neeson.
Okay next time just have you talking. lol hear hear on the accent your not hard on the eyes either Brumwolf.
There is one thing I would like to add, I was taught by professional trainers never to lean over the dog and place the front feet. You are to come up from under, so the legs are properly placed under the shoulders and not spread out of line with the rest of body.. Interesting different techniques. Honestly that was the first thing my gal came down on me for when stacking. I will say she is a very good patient girl and learned how to understand accents as well. lol

Oh, isn't that the truth. Why is it that no-one ever thinks that a midwestern American accent (the accent all the news people want) is sexy?? LOL LOL!!

We have friends around the corner from us - she is from Virginia, he is from Northern England - a touch of a Scottish burr in his voice.......... I could listen to him all day - LOL!! On the other hand, my husband grew up in Ohio........ nothing neato about his accent :).........guess I'll keep him anyway - boring accent and all!

Neat video Brum!
It is interesting to see how the Euro dogs are stack as compared to the dogs here in the US conformation ring.

I'm with you on this one. Great video and love the modeling.
Very impressive!! What a good girl :) Bruno won't stay still long enough for me to get him in a good stack and take a picture! lol He's got ants in his pants or something ;)
Simple as that!

I've been "working" on that with Mensa, but I can't make her understand all I want her to do is just stand still.
Brum..how do you get them to just stand there and not move? lol
Love it! I have been working with the girls to get them to stand next to each other and do all their commands next to each other etc....
Little side track, I watched your "young Dobies" while I was there just now.................Very nicely put together with the music Brum :)

It starts by just getting them to stand still for a few seconds then treat then a few more then treat, then open your hand and say leave if they go for the bait close your hand that way they learn to stare at it for a few seconds,if they stand and stare without going for the bait then reward and just build up the time,Tia will stare for ages till i give her the release.I did not need to put the bait on the floor she would stay stacked on a "stay" command.
I have a trick I do with Rudi. I'll lay a big Milk Bone biscuit on top of his head or across his snout. I can't get him to flip it and grab it in mid air. But he'll sit with it there until I release him by saying "good boy!" You'd think he'd get cross-eyed with it sitting on his snout......but he keeps all eyes on me! I hope to post a pic soon. But, the only computer I have access to right now is here at work. (I know, I'm bad!)
