We got word tonight that Friday is a definite and we get to bring the girls home. Aside from Ambien and Lunesta does anyone have any suggestiong for getting to sleep at night. I feel like the little boy in the Disney commercial....."I'm too excited to sleep." :boldblue: :boldblue:

Unfortunately we still will be posting at six months of age, but hey it's not like we have never done it before. We just really did not want to deal with it.

How exciting for you. I would have problems sleeping also. If you can't sleep, here are some tips that might help you:
-try a warm bath to help relax
-read a book that does not capture your interest too much.(it might keep you up longer)
-listen to some calm, relaxing music(maybe while in a warm bath)
-some people use meditation
-if all else fails, there is always OTC sleep aids for a one night fix. Some people will use Melatonin with some results if you want a natural route.
-Try not to let your mind fixate on it.

Congrats Teak!

I sometimes take Nyquil if I can't sleep. Any of the PM meds do it. Sometimes throwing a blanket in the dryer for 15 mins and snuggling up with it nice and toasty helps too!

If you want to go natural... another one to try is Valerian Root.

Or Rescue Remedy, which can also be used on the dogs. It's a liquid and you can get it here at Natural Food stores, or order online.

Or there's a good ol' fashioned glass of wine.

Mama is officially counting the hours

Well Papa is excited and I think I'm going nuts. Oops .. too late! I can't wait for our girls to get home. My grandkids call me "granny flash - gawd I hate that" and I'm even worse when it comes to the doberkids. I know you guys don't know me as well as the hubby since I'm usually working and not online as much - but I LOVEEEEE the camera and photography ... so get ready for the INFLUX of photos ... I promise to inundate you with tons of great puppy pics - some intended to make you laugh till your chubby emoticon cheeks burst and others that will hopefully show the true dober spirit and regality shining bright.
