Itchy ant bites

Nova seems to have stepped in some ants and has a decent sized bite between her toes. Is there anything I can put on it to help relieve the itching? She keeps chewing her toe since she can't get to where the bite is. Would a little dab of witch hazel be ok? I don't have too much stuff on hand.

Mine charge through ant hills fairly often and get a bite or two in the process. I use a paste made with some baking soda and water and it helps.

It's stinging instead of itching! I would dab some white vinegar on it, if it starts to swell you can give Benadryl 25-50 mg depending on weight.

:xyxthumbs: Yep !!! Benadryl will help stop the itching. Vet had me use for a bee sting once. U know how it starts to itch after a day or so.
