....to steal all my plastic bottles to play with??

I can bribe this dork with any toy he owns, and he would still rather steal my water bottles, pop bottles, even 2 liters.......Is it just him??

I think I am wasting my $$ on dog toys!!

Rommel never cared about them at all until I got Ziris. Ziris is a plastic bottle aholic. You have to REALLY keep an eye on them because they will steal them, empty or full....doesnt matter. Rommel is to the point now where he will sit and bark at you until you give him the bottle you are drinking from, its really annoying, I wish I had never started it! Lets just say there has been more than once that they got a full one and wound up with fluid gushing out of the bottle, and them running the other direction with me chasing them. Thank Gosh 9 times out of 10 its water.

Here is Ziris...she had been in the USA for less than 24 hours in this picture. She stole someones water bottle at training...haha. It was one of those big ones too!

luna LOVES bottles. especially the gallon ones that she just can't get her mouth around. she will chase it around the house for much longer than she plays with any of her toys! i always take the cap off and i always watch her. sergio and i have come to the conclusion that if it's anything that costs under $2, she'll play with it much more than any expensive doggie toy. i guess we keep buying the expensive toys for our own satisfaction!

My sisters Saint does that. Harmony used to like them when she was a pup, but outgrew the taste.

Trin used to have a whole pile of bottles she stole from me. When she removed the label and cap from one she took up another one.

I think she outgrew it though. i haven't seen her do it in a few months.

My dobe/weim cross loved his gallon milk jugs. I'd empty one, rinse and throw it to him. I will never forget one scene with him sitting at the edge of the yard, milk jug in mouth, trying to coax the neighbors dog over.

Java LOVES plastic bottles. She will try and steal any water bottle that is sitting unattended on the ground at the dog park. I take the top and plastic neck ring off, rinse it out and let her have fun batting it around the floor and them chopping it in the middle. For some reason, the middle always gets it first! As a pup she would walk around with it proudly in her grasp as if she had brought down big game! Doesn't hold her attention for quite as long now, and I always keep an eye out in case she decides to chew it to bits. Still keeps her busier some days than anything other than the heavy-duty Nyla bone, bully stick or a stuffed Kong.

Apollo has never taken an interest in plastic bottles, either. He prefers soft fluffy things like expensive wool blankets to chew on. Also anything with stuffing. I've discovered that pillows or toys with stuffing are like dobie catnip in my house! I lost one of my throw pillows to my new sofa two days after I brought it home. :(
LOL, thank goodness he hasn't bothered my pretty new bedroom set!...yet!

Gaston has always loved bottles, small, two liter, gallon etc. he loves them all, Roxy likes them too. I'll tell you something else both love to tear up is the cola, soda whatever you choose to call it cardboard fridge containers that hold 12 cans. Toss one of those on the floor and both of mine go nuts ripping them to shreds!!!!! Very cheap fun but lots of shredded cardboard to pick up but oh! well it's not that bad and our SRD's don't mind watching us pick up their mess!!!!!

Reese loves plastic bottles. He started out knocking them around and making enough noise that you couldn't hear the TV or have a conversation. (Didn't take to long for the cuteness to wear off) He worked his way up to shredding them within a few minutes. After fishing a few pieces out of his throat I had to order everyone to keep their bottles to themselves.

oH sadie LOVES plastic bottles/boxes/anything that makes noise. I remember the very first bottle we gave her... she couldnt figure out how to pick it up. Finally she grabbed it close to the cap and packed it all over the house for almost an hour like "Look, I've got it, it's mine, I did it by MYSELF!" haha

Mensa loves plastic bottles.

I thinks she likes the racket she can make by chewing on them.

She hasn't figured out how to un-screw the lids, so she gets the bottles with the lids on tight.

Her favorite ones are the two-litre pop bottles. Her mouth is big enough to carry the bottle without losing it.
