Hello!
My name is Jennifer. I am located in Maine and I found this site while searching for ear crop styles. My congrats to the creator! I am Married with 3 Children. I also have 2 dogs, an Akita, 'Kobie' and a Miniature Australian Shepard, 'Ripley'. Hopefully I will be getting a blue male puppy in September from Denora Dobermans. Has anyone have any dealings with Lora? Any feedback would be appreciated. I have emailed back and forth and she seems very trust worthy. Her Dam is pedigreed well Am Can Ch's across the board, as well as the sire. I dont want to jinx anything by mentioning more. I am not a show person or breeder. I am however, an Agility nut. I own operate Rip It Up! Agility, teaching Agility and Basic Pet Obedience. For more on my bio check out my website www.ripitupagility.com. I once owned a Dobie years ago that I purchased from a pet store. (I know I know dont start screaming yet) It was a very nice, clean, open environment and I was emotional while I, myself was 6 months pregnant. I saw this cutest little red girl, that I just couldnt leave there. She was so sickly once I got her home. Kennel cough, Giardia, Hypothyroid, cronic urinary infections, Vwd affected, and a skin disorder that I forget the name of, she needed medicated shampoo. Of all her problems she was the best puppy ever! She was great with children, she had Handler focus to die for, she was naturally obedient. Her time with me ended when she tried to scale our 5 foot chain link fence. She caught her rear leg and fell. I was forced to surrender her to the local ASPCA, who assured me she would get the surgery to walk again. The local vets wanted their money upfront and I couldnt wait for a home Eq loan while she was suffering. I still get emotional about it.
That said, the years have past, My life circumstances have changed, and I would like a second dog to trial with. I am currently competing in Agility with Ripley the mini aussie. Kobie is almost 10yo so he is basically a home dog.
Phew, I think I have pretty much said it all! I'm typed out.
I'm Looking forward to metting you all,
Jen

Welcome! My sister lives in Bridgeton ME. I love it up there!

Be warned....I don't know about this first hand....but keeping Male Dobermans with other male dogs is not advised, they can become male dog aggressive after maturity. I have a 8 month old male that loves all dog, but from what I've learned here....that could change in the future.

Good luck! They are the BEST!

I know Lora Von Epp, although not well. She seems like a good person whose heart is in the right place as far as health testing, striving for good temperaments, etc. Her foundation bitch, Marlee, was very beautiful.

I Love the UK Agility, you have so many more obstacles, sway bridge, hoop tunnel, the window jump... Good luck!
You all have Beautiful Dobermans. I'm turning green and impatient!
Greetings from just slightly north of you (Bangor). :thumbs-up

Well, looks like you came to the right place. We are all Doberman Nuts here.
I for one have 4. 3 blacks and one Blue. I have done a little agility with my male Spirit and intro with my oldest Raven. Both love it, but around where I am there is really no place close to go to. Heck we don't even have a Dog Park here. bummer! Look forward to hearing lots more from you. Welcome again.
