Elly and her husband will be leaving this Thursday to travel to the 2007 IDC Weltmeisterschaft (Working Doberman World Championship) They are traveling with the Dutch Team, and their decoys. She said that she will keep me updated with photo's and updates, so that I can post them on here in case anyone is interested. She has wireless internet, but it is very expensive to send photo's and such, so I thought that was a very nice offer.

She said she will send me a picture of the Dutch team and their dobes later tonight for me to post. I had hoped to go with them this year, but it didnt work out. Hopefully Scott will be home next summer and I can go to Italy with them for the Weltmeisterschaft next year.......

Also, congrats to her husband Rob on his new position as the commissioner of IPO/Working Sports for the Dutch Dobermann Club.

Wishing you all a very safe and successful trip. :wavey:

Thanks Amanda! Yes we will leave thursdaymorning, its a two days drive so we will be there friday. The event will be hold the next weekend, but this give the dogs to get used to their new area.

I am ready to go training now, but when I got home I will sent the picture of the team.

Weeks of training are behind us now, the dogs had to be ready now.
On the wildsite you have to klic for prikbord that is where all the trainingspictures from the last weeks are.

And yes Amanda you may show or A-frame where we sleep in:help_up_2
Don't know what to expect, cause slovakia is a former eastern europe country, just building on their country we will see.

Hopefully we are having nice weather so we can stay outside mostly!
I will update Amanda, and so you all if you like it.

How could I forget........LMAO. Elly sent me an e-mail this morning with the website to where they are staying. LMAO. She said Pllllllllllllllllease dont laugh.........(I did) She said each of the "bungalow's" looks like an A-frame (the wall the dogs go over in obedience) So....it looks like each member will have their own A-frame to throw the dumbell over and practice :) LOL. I couldnt help but laugh when I saw the pictures.

Where they are staying.

They almost look like the Snoopy dog house!

But.........the inside doesnt look to bad! (Or at least I dont think...)

And.......the view kind of makes up for it :)

Considering it is in a very non modern part of the world...I think it is interesting to see.

Oh.........and they are walking distance to the stadium where the trial is held. (Which is the most important thing) I'm sure there will be LOTS of training this week :D

HA HA - those are pretty funny looking. I'm betting that the "facilities" are lacking a little :-0

The view OTOH is beautiful.

I do know that hotel rooms in Europe are not exactly like what we find here. My husband travels in Europe for business some and gets to some Eastern European countries. Rooms are very small with twin beds and no A/C - even in expensive hotels.

I guess it would be a long ways for an American team to get to unless they had a sponsorship. The dollar is very weak in Europe right now and anywhere there is a very expensive trip for us.

Yes we are not used to this kind of accomodation, but we will see, make a lot of fun, hopefully it is nice weather.

From what I have heard now there will be 6 hollanders, 3 from finland, 2 from Norway en 9 tjsechen, 6 italian these are for shure.

They expect 6 germans, and they speak about 3 amerikanen, 3 from Austria, 3 russen en 3 slowaken. so it will be probably around the 40

http://www.dobermann.sk/klub/index_d.htm this is the website of the slovakia dobermann club.

I keep you all updated thru Amanda! And when I come back lots of pictures!
