Every dog I have ever had has loved butter. I learned many years ago not to leave out butter ever. We had company once and they offered to help set the table. I was busy yakking etc. never thought to tell them no butter on the table until we sit down. Well yes it was devoured and lip smacking good apparently as well. I think to dogs butter is like candy to children.
