I agree.. sometimes it is just a dogthing!! playing.. but it can also be to show who is who and who is top dog to new comers. I know that with my two girls Gypsy and Iris it is done out of play.. Now with Spirit and the poor cat CC I am not sure..LOL good luck on the trainning of it.. we usually just tell them to cut it out or get the squirt bottle and all stops...Kratty said:I have seen this happened alot....especially at the dog park....My one trainer did explain to it me like this. In situations where there is alot of playing going on, some dogs get so tired or excited from playing too much, that they sudden start humping. Its supposed to be that they are not thinking clearly and are just reacting. Nikita's best bud does this sometimes to her. After a long play session, Johnny is so tired and Nikita is not ready to stop, that Johnny just tries to mount her out of just a reaction. Does this happen after a long play session? If it is, maybe she needs a break. Fortunately for Nikita, she just wiggles out of his hold and ends up getting this weird upper back massage....
