Umm, how do I start this one.. Gracie and Ginger (brothers rotti) were playing for the past 2 days. At the end of the first day Gracie (yes my girl) started to umm, hump Ginger. We told her "off" and "leave it". Not even 2 minutes later Gracie does it again. And again and again. We figured that it must be Gracie saying she is the Alpha female. Does she really have to hump Ginger? That isn't something I really enjoy seeing on a Sat/Sunday.

Is this a alpha dog thing? How do I stop this, so I don't have to see it again? Why didn't Ginger try to stop Gracie?

Yes, it's a dominance thing, rather than a sexual thing.

Like any other unwanted behavior, you have to be persistant and consistent about correcting it.
