I am new to this site and wanted to introduce myself instead of creeping around ingesting all this information as I have been for the past few days... the amount of information on here is incredible and I am delighted to have found this resource!

My baby is the gorgeous creature seen in the pic (hopefully they show up here!); though we bear our introduction under the shadow of her unexpected passing. I am hoping to get some input from those of you far more knowledgeable about the breed, as Akasha was our very first doberman and while it seems odd to introduce myself into this community under these pretenses- I feel far stranger lurking around in corners.

Thank you for providing such a comprehensive place for "all things doberman" from a new arrival, and I look forward to speaking with all of you!

I am sorry that you have found us under those circumstances.

Please tell us your girl's story.

I can't see the pics now, I think you just need to link in the IMG link from photobucket.

ETA: See them in the photo gallery ! That poor dear girl, what happened to her ears?
Hi Emily!

These pictures are from when she was just itty bitty and the breeder was still posting her ears. They turned out wonderfully, but all of my more recent photos are on the kids' DSI and as you can see by my "wicked computer hacking skills" (pardon the Napoleon Dynamite-izm here) I have not figured out how to upload them onto our computer as of yet!
Welcome to DT. I'm so sorry about your girl, she was a cutie.
Thank you for your welcome and the condolences, as both are much appreciated.

I was just informed of her passing away a few days ago after a complete roller-coaster ride of experiences that are still being sorted out with the breeder. A situation that I truly need some guidance on as I am in far over my head at this point; which is why I wanted to introduce myself as well.

I very much look forward to talking to you!
If your breeder made that mess of her ears...omg....

Yes, start your story at the beginning.

Please do share with us. She was beautiful! But, ouch.. her ears look sooo sore.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Thank you.

Being a long story having both serious breeder issues as well as behavioral/ temperament issues would it be more beneficial to begin a new thread under one of those headings?

I want to share my experience but really need the input of others on this one and don't want to cross any lines as a new member.
Thank you.

I don't think you'll cross any lines. There are other DT forums you could post in though. Puppy forum maybe? Or, Dobe Health? Or Doberman related chat? I suppose it depends on what you need to share.
