I'm Bella and Noble is my 14 wk male Dobbie. The 3rd one I have owned and I am really looking forward to meeting new people involved with the breed, protection training and fun outdoor time with like minded others.

I have noticed Noble is very stand offish with most other dogs unless they are a smarter breed of puppy, another Dobbie owner suggested the seem to mostly like to play with their own breed??
Any one live in Oregon? ....Looking for new friends

Also, looking to find skilled trainers for him, to build early skills for personal protection.

Hi, welcome to DT from Colorado!

Yeah, dobes are selective in who they play with, at least once they get to be a little more mature. It's just as well; their playstyle is so rough, not every dog can take it.

If he is stand-offish at his age, he may be holding back and scoping out the scene too. Some pups just take a while to join in.

Anyway, glad you're here! You have yourself a cute little boy there.

Cute puppy--where about in Oregon are you--there are a couple of us in or around Portland.

Most of my males haven't played well with any dog except those they lived with. In general Dobes tend to be so rough while playing that they aren't good with most other dogs even when they are very young puppies.

Welcome Bella! Noble is so adorable, looking forward to hearing about her journey!

My own has always been a little stand offish at first when encountering a new dog or human, partial training and partial his natural way. We have fosters with potential issues to work on so need that.
