Hi guys,
I am a new member and wanted some help in finding my new pup.

I am located in Los Angeles, CA. I have been searching for a dog now for over seven months. I have read a plethora of books on the breed as well as training for there temperament. I found a breeder I liked after going down the list on DPCA.com. Sadly, my breeders dog had only one puppy so needless to say that didn't work out. She was nothing but amazing to work with.

So here I am again. I am looking for a FEMALE BLACK/RUST American Doberman puppy. This will be a campanion dog and will be living with me in the house. I plan on spaying her. The breeder I am looking for does all health testing and thyroid check. In addition, I would like to work with a breeder that you guys recommend and have experience with. Before I signed up I would cross check and search the forums to see what you guys thought of various breeders so I DO appreciate any and all responses. Please PM if you dont want to broadcast it on the forums.

Are you limiting your search to a certain area or are you open to shipping a puppy? The latter will open up a lot more options for you. Plus, are you aware that most breeders won't have puppies right as you want them and many of the reputable breeders have a waiting list? If you've done your research you're probably aware of this but I want to just make sure :]

I am 100% open to a dog being shipped to LA. I do know about the waiting list and how most good breeders work. I would like the dog as soon as possible but im always wise enough to wait and hold out for the right dog.

I was looking at sites the other day and noticed Starlain has a litter soon. She health tests, titles and her dogs are very pretty. Perhaps give her a ring.

She probably has her hands tied with duties. Most breeders work full time and show their dogs as well. You'll hear from her soon!

Yes, give her some time. She was at shows this last weekend. Give it a week, send another email. Wait another week and if still no reply, try giving her a call or you could pm her as she is a member of this forum. Her sign on name is Starlaine.

Unfortunately, we do have some members here who are less than stellar breeders and they will pm you quickly to sell you one of their puppies or a "friends" pup. They always seem to have a pup handy. I hope you didn't fall prey to one of these members.

We have both good and not so good breeders who are members. We recommend the good ones and the bad ones will pm you. They don't go public because they know, more than likely, you will be warned about them.

Hi guys! So sorry for the delay in response. It has been a crazy few days. I am going to make a new post in the puppy section introducing the new pup.

It wasnt fast at all, in fact its been over 8 months coming now. I did tons of research and knew exactly what i was looking for.
