[Diesel]

Hello,

Just been invited to joing this forum :dancing_b

My pup is named Diesel, he is approximately 13 weeks old and full of devilment, love him to bit's. Only problem is his tail but that is well on the mend, thanks to the lamp-shade thing from the vet.

Hey Diesel. My boy's brother is named Diesel as well. King had a problem with his tail when i got him as well. he would chew and whine all the time. His tail was always tucked in and he wouldnt let anyone touch it. I ended up taking him back to the place who did it and they found that the nerve ending had grown to the tip and were bothering him. Then re-docked it and everythign is fine now.

Diesel's tail is almost healed perfect now, and the hair is starting to grow back in, so finger crossed when the lamp-shade comes off he will leave it well alone. I have heard that they are going to ban tail docking in the UK next year, ear trimming is already banned.

I personally think they look better trimmed and docked... but that is just a personal opinnion...

Thanks, You have a good looking boy there too. There is talk about banning cropping/docking here in canada too but im not sure that will happen any time soon.
My opinion on cropping/docking is that it is no different than spade/neutering your dog, or having your child circumsized. Sure, spade/neutering helps control the pet poulation and stops a lot of unwanted/homeless dogs from being produced, but it is still just another human preference. It isnt natural and is just a cruel(IMO) which is the argument for not cropping/docking.

I'm new also. I have a different tail problem. We got Max from the Humane Society & he is 4. He never had his tail or ears done, so we won't be doing it now. The problem, his tail is right at living room table height & lots of drinks hit the floor!!!

I had a lab/dane mix, same problem!!! He even bruised a few legs in his day with his whip!

Ha Ha!! Yes that too. Man, his bones are rock hard. I was messing with him one day. He was lying down & I was over the top of him with my arms on each side. Max jumps up & catch his spine in the chin. I thought the lights were going out!!
